Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel, or similar).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network architecture.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
- Lead incident response efforts during security breaches, coordinating with legal and IT teams.
- Perform threat hunting to proactively identify malicious actors within the network.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security controls into the Software Development Life Cycle (DevSecOps).
- Conduct security awareness training for employees and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH is highly required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or incident response.
- Strong working knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be willing to obtain and maintain active security clearances if required.
