Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and investigate potential incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and execute incident response plans for security breaches
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Analyze malware, network traffic, and logs to detect sophisticated attack patterns
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and countermeasures through continuous training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or incident response roles
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Expertise in SIEM tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, Windows/Linux systems, and cloud security
- Experience with threat intelligence frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, STIX)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during incidents
