Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to potential threats
- Conduct forensic investigations on security incidents and implement remediation measures
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies, procedures, and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with regulations
- Analyze emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Manage security incidents using NIST framework best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations center (SOC) environments
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required (CEH preferred)
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence tools
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST 800-61, ISO 27035)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
