Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools to detect and respond to threats in real-time
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and develop mitigation strategies
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices across infrastructure
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Present security findings to leadership and provide actionable recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and security tools
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and NIST frameworks
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during incidents
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and malware analysis techniques
