Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor security alerts and events through the SIEM platform to identify potential breaches.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to strengthen network defenses.
- Investigate security incidents and execute incident response procedures to mitigate damage.
- Configure and manage firewalls, antivirus, and endpoint protection systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5+ years of experience in a cybersecurity or SOC environment.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or CEH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or PowerShell for automation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
