Vertex Innovations is seeking a visionary 2D Motion Designer to elevate our digital presence. In this role, you will craft compelling animations that drive user engagement and communicate complex ideas with simplicity and elegance. You will work at the intersection of art and technology, collaborating with product teams to deliver seamless motion experiences across web, mobile, and social platforms.
As a key member of our creative team, you will be responsible for translating static designs into dynamic, living interfaces. We value creativity, technical proficiency, and a deep understanding of user psychology.
Responsibilities
- Design & Animation: Create high-quality 2D motion graphics and animations for web interfaces, marketing campaigns, and product onboarding flows using Adobe After Effects and Cinema 4D.
- Storytelling: Develop conceptual narratives and visual metaphors to enhance user understanding and product storytelling.
- Collaboration: Partner with UX/UI designers and product managers to integrate motion elements seamlessly into the user journey.
- Technical Optimization: Optimize animation assets for performance, ensuring smooth playback across various devices and network conditions.
- Motion Style Guide: Contribute to and maintain the company's motion design system, ensuring consistency and scalability.
- Prototyping: Create interactive prototypes to test motion concepts and gather user feedback before full implementation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in 2D motion design or animation.
- Tools: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) and Cinema 4D.
- Portfolio: A robust portfolio demonstrating a range of styles, from clean UI motion to complex illustrative animation.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of animation principles (timing, easing, squash and stretch) and basic coding knowledge (HTML/CSS/JS) is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to non-creative stakeholders.
