Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows/Linux server environments including Active Directory, VMware, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure 99.9% uptime SLAs
- Manage network security protocols, firewalls, and compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001)
- Automate infrastructure tasks using Python/Ansible and optimize resource utilization
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute system patching/upgrades
- Document procedures and provide Tier-3 support for escalated technical issues
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration with cloud integration
- Expertise in Windows Server 2019+, Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu), and virtualization technologies
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) and CI/CD pipeline knowledge
- Certifications (CompTIA Server+, AWS SysOps, or Azure Administrator) preferred
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required
