Responsibilities
- Monitor security events and alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, FireEye, or similar) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate security breaches and incidents, performing root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Configure and manage firewall rules, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems to secure network architecture.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security best practices in software development.
- Produce and maintain detailed security reports and documentation for stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT role.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues.
- Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel for on-site security audits.
