Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems using SIEM tools to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches and data compromises
- Collaborate with IT teams to enforce security controls across cloud and on-premise environments
- Analyze malware, intrusion attempts, and anomalous activities using forensic tools
- Create comprehensive security documentation and compliance reports for regulatory bodies
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, or Sentinel)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and encryption technologies
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to pass federal background check
