Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms to detect potential threats
- Investigate security incidents, coordinate response efforts, and document findings
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards (HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Provide security awareness training to employees and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and security automation
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CompTIA CySA+)
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
