Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design intuitive user interfaces for web and mobile applications
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and create detailed user personas
- Develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using industry-standard tools
- Present design solutions to stakeholders and iterate based on feedback
- Participate in design sprints and contribute to our agile development process
- Document design decisions and maintain consistent design systems
- Mentor junior designers during the program's advanced phase
Qualifications
- Portfolio demonstrating design thinking process (school projects, personal work accepted)
- Basic understanding of design principles (color theory, typography, layout)
- Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to receive constructive feedback and implement changes
- Enrollment in or completion of a UX/UI design bootcamp/certificate program preferred
- Residency in Anchorage or willingness to relocate for the position
