Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
- Enforce compliance standards such as HIPAA, SOC2, and NIST frameworks.
- Collaborate with IT teams to secure cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and disaster recovery procedures.
- Perform regular security audits and risk assessments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Information Security or Network Defense.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with Python or Bash scripting for security automation.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple security priorities simultaneously.
- Valid driver’s license for potential on-site requirements in Fort Worth.
