Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize prompts for large language models and generative AI systems
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to define prompt requirements and test frameworks
- Create and maintain prompt libraries with version control and documentation
- Analyze model outputs to refine prompts for accuracy, relevance, and efficiency
- Develop prompt engineering best practices and share knowledge across teams
- Research and implement advanced prompting techniques (few-shot, chain-of-thought, etc.)
- Monitor prompt performance metrics and iterate based on user feedback
- Stay current with AI advancements and emerging prompt engineering tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Linguistics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in prompt engineering, NLP, or AI development roles
- Proven track record of optimizing prompts for production AI systems
- Strong understanding of transformer architectures and large language models
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Python and experience with AI frameworks (Hugging Face, LangChain)
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into effective prompts
- Experience with prompt testing frameworks and A/B methodologies
