Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential breaches.
- Perform daily vulnerability assessments and patch management on internal systems.
- Conduct initial triage and incident response for low-to-medium severity security alerts.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of security documentation and playbooks.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure secure configuration of network devices and servers.
- Participate in red team/blue team exercises and security training drills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- CompTIA Security+ or Network+ certification preferred (entry-level candidates with strong academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply).
- Familiarity with networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and OSI model.
- Basic knowledge of Linux or Windows command line and system administration.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to obtain a Security Clearance (if required).
