Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and coordinate remediation
- Implement and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses
- Develop incident response plans and conduct tabletop exercises
- Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry-specific regulations
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance security posture across cloud/on-premises environments
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC/operations roles
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in threat intelligence platforms (e.g., Recorded Future, CrowdStrike)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors
- Experience with Windows/Linux systems and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize critical incidents
- Valid U.S. government security clearance or ability to obtain one
