Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and system logs in real-time using SIEM tools to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and coordinate the response to security breaches and cyber-attacks.
- Implement, configure, and maintain firewalls, endpoint protection, and other security controls.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to ensure compliance.
- Develop and maintain robust security policies, procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a similar IT role.
- Certification preferred: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with security tools such as Splunk, Wireshark, or Snort.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
