Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and manage Windows/Linux servers and virtualization environments (VMware/KVM)
- Implement and maintain security protocols including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls
- Proactively monitor system performance using tools like Nagios and Splunk
- Execute disaster recovery planning and backup solutions (Veeam/Rubrik)
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines infrastructure
- Document procedures and create runbooks for operational efficiency
- Lead system upgrades and migrations with zero downtime
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience
- Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP management
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell/Bash/Python)
- AWS/Azure certification with cloud architecture experience
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Experience with monitoring and automation tools
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities for complex network issues
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
