We're urgently seeking a skilled System Administrator to join our dynamic IT team in Long Beach. You'll be the backbone of our infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations for 500+ employees across hybrid environments. Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure)
- Implement security protocols and maintain compliance with SOC 2 standards
- Oversee network operations including firewalls, VPNs, and DNS management
- Automate system administration tasks using Python/PowerShell
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex system outages and incidents
- Deploy and maintain virtualization environments (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Document system configurations and create disaster recovery plans
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Windows Server and Linux administration
- Expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy, and SCCM
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and IaaS/PaaS
- Certifications in CompTIA Server+ or Microsoft Azure preferred
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Datadog)
- Ability to work under pressure during critical incidents
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
