Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows/Linux server environments across on-premises and AWS/Azure cloud platforms
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot network issues, and automate routine tasks using PowerShell/Python
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPN configurations to ensure seamless operations
- Implement security protocols including firewalls, encryption, and access controls to protect sensitive data
- Coordinate disaster recovery testing and maintain documentation for compliance with SOX/GDPR standards
- Lead cross-functional projects for system migrations and infrastructure upgrades
- Provide Tier 3 support and mentor junior IT staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience with 5+ years in system administration
- Expert proficiency in Windows Server (2016/2019) and Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) environments
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Certifications in CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Azure, or AWS Solutions Architect preferred
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) and configuration management tools (Ansible)
- Proven ability to manage enterprise-scale networks and security protocols
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to prioritize critical incidents
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with non-technical stakeholders
