Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure before malicious actors do.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards aligned with ISO 27001 and NIST frameworks.
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches, coordinating with legal and IT teams to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and secure network architectures to protect corporate data.
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate security best practices into the SDLC.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or Security+ is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information security.
- Strong knowledge of security protocols, encryption, and access control models.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation and security monitoring.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
