Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight) to identify potential threats.
- Lead incident response efforts, conducting forensic analysis and coordinating recovery efforts for security breaches.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR) across the organization.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement secure coding practices and infrastructure.
- Produce detailed security reports and present findings to executive leadership.
- Manage vendor relationships for security tools and managed security service providers.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
- Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate critical thinking during security incidents.
- Willingness to relocate to Texas or work in our New York office.
