Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and alerts to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in real-time.
- Assist in the execution of vulnerability scans and penetration testing support.
- Conduct log analysis and forensic investigations for security incidents.
- Implement and maintain security patches and updates across internal networks.
- Support compliance audits and documentation for regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure configuration of hardware and software.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents according to established protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud computing concepts.
- CompTIA Security+ certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
