Responsibilities
- Security Monitoring: Continuously monitor security alerts and events using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, or similar) to detect potential threats in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and technical remediation of security breaches, incidents, and anomalies.
- Threat Analysis: Perform detailed analysis of malware, phishing attempts, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Control Implementation: Configure and maintain security controls, including firewalls, antivirus software, and endpoint protection systems.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to industry standards (NIST, ISO, HIPAA) and prepare comprehensive incident reports.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or network security role.
- Certifications: Active certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, SSCP, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and scripting (Python, PowerShell).
- Remote Work: Must have a high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office setup.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
