Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Windows/Linux server environments including Active Directory, VMware, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Implement robust security protocols, patch management, and compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA)
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios, SolarWinds, and Zabbix
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute system restoration drills
- Automate deployment processes using Ansible, Terraform, or PowerShell
- Provide Tier-3 support and mentor junior IT staff
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline optimization
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in enterprise system administration with Windows Server 2019+ and Linux
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware vSphere) and cloud migration
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent security certification
- Proven experience with backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault)
- Understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
