Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust Linux/Windows Server environments supporting 10,000+ users
- Lead cloud infrastructure migrations and optimizations across AWS/Azure platforms
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity protocols including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access controls
- Automate system monitoring, patching, and backup procedures using Ansible/Terraform
- Provide 24/7 on-call support with rapid incident response and root cause analysis
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code
- Document SOPs, architecture diagrams, and disaster recovery plans
Qualifications
- 5+ years in enterprise system administration with federal government or regulated industry experience
- Expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy, and enterprise-scale virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Advanced certifications: CISSP, CCNP, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) and infrastructure automation tools
- Demonstrated experience with compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST 800-53)
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex multi-tiered systems
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management and documentation
