Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced security architectures including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust networks
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify system weaknesses
- Lead incident response protocols during security breaches and cyber attacks
- Develop security automation tools using Python and PowerShell for operational efficiency
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk/Symantec) for threat detection and analysis
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices (MITRE ATT&CK framework)
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity roles with hands-on experience in network security
- CISSP, CISM, or CEH certification required (CompTIA Security+ acceptable)
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Proficiency in security tools: Splunk, Palo Alto, Nessus, Burp Suite
- Experience with compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR)
- Strong scripting abilities (Python, Bash) for automation tasks
- Excellent problem-solving skills under pressure during incident response
- BS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
