Responsibilities
- Implement and manage advanced security measures including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and respond to incidents
- Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR standards
- Lead security awareness training for employees
- Research emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, threat detection, or incident response
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ required
- Proficiency in security tools: Splunk, Wireshark, Burp Suite, and vulnerability scanners
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
