Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events across all network segments during weekend shifts.
- Perform triage and incident response for critical security breaches and vulnerabilities.
- Manage and configure firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems (IDS).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on scheduled weekends.
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed logs for compliance reporting.
- Collaborate with the SOC team to improve automated response playbooks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a SOC or Security Operations Center environment.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations during off-hours.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
