Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for real-time threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing using Nessus, Burp Suite
- Develop and maintain security playbooks for incident handling procedures
- Collaborate with network teams on firewall rule optimization and IDS/IPS tuning
- Generate executive security reports and dashboards for leadership review
- Lead threat hunting initiatives using MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Coordinate cross-functional incident response during security breaches
Qualifications
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations with SOC analyst experience
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (or equivalent)
- Expertise in SIEM correlation rules and threat intelligence feeds
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Hands-on experience with EDR solutions (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne)
- Strong understanding of NIST cybersecurity framework
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain
