Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and mitigate advanced persistent threats
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents, documenting evidence and recommending remediation strategies
- Develop and maintain security monitoring dashboards with real-time threat visualization
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement zero-trust architectures and endpoint protection solutions
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Create executive-level security briefings translating technical risks into business impacts
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches with 24/7 on-call rotation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience in SOC operations or threat detection
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ required
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewall, IDS/IPS, WAF)
- Advanced knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat intelligence platforms
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerization technologies
- Strong analytical skills with ability to correlate complex data across multiple sources
- Valid US government security clearance (or ability to obtain)
