Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for security anomalies and potential breaches in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Respond to and mitigate cybersecurity incidents, including malware outbreaks and ransomware attacks.
- Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
- Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as NIST, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
- Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement robust security architectures.
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed logs for forensic analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in network security, SOC operations, or threat analysis.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, and common attack vectors.
- Experience with Linux/Windows system administration and scripting (Python/Bash).
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and handle emergency response situations.
- Valid US work authorization.
