The Role:
You will oversee the daily operations of our server environments, ensuring 99.9% uptime and data security. This is a hands-on position requiring a deep understanding of network architecture and server management.
Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and monitor Windows Server and Linux environments to ensure high availability.
- Configure and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and VPNs.
- Implement and maintain security protocols, including antivirus, backups, and access controls.
- Automate routine IT tasks using scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) to improve efficiency.
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and guidance to end-users regarding hardware and software issues.
- Perform system upgrades, patch management, and participate in disaster recovery planning.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience as a System Administrator or Network Administrator.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy) and Linux administration.
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
