Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain on-premise server environments and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) to ensure high availability and performance.
- System Monitoring: Monitor system performance, health, and security using monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds) to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security protocols, conduct vulnerability assessments, and manage firewalls to protect sensitive data.
- Backup & Recovery: Oversee data backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and execute regular restoration drills to ensure business continuity.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues, providing Tier 2/3 support to internal stakeholders.
- Automation: Develop and maintain scripts (PowerShell, Bash, Python) to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT support role.
- Operating Systems: Strong proficiency in Windows Server and Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
- Cloud Knowledge: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS or Microsoft Azure.
- Networking: Solid understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Active Directory.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar certifications are a plus.
