Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the organization's server infrastructure, including Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Implement and configure network solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and switches, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Oversee daily system operations, monitoring server health, and proactively resolving hardware and software issues.
- Develop and maintain scripts (Python, PowerShell) to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Enforce data backup and disaster recovery protocols to ensure business continuity and data integrity.
- Collaborate with the IT security team to patch vulnerabilities and manage access controls.
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT role.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy) and Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network hardware.
- Hands-on experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or CCNA are highly preferred.
