Responsibilities
- Architect and implement advanced threat detection protocols using Splunk and QRadar
- Lead incident response for critical infrastructure breaches within 15-minute SLAs
- Conduct penetration testing on cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and on-premise systems
- Develop security automation playbooks using Python and PowerShell
- Perform forensic investigations and compile executive breach reports
- Maintain NIST 800-53 compliance frameworks for regulated industries
- Mentor junior analysts through weekly threat hunting workshops
Qualifications
- 8+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in SOC/IR roles
- CISSP, CISM, or OSCP certification required (CEH acceptable)
- Expertise in threat hunting, MITRE ATT&CK framework, and threat intelligence
- Proven experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Advanced knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and network security tools
- Strong scripting abilities in Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Ability to work rotating shifts and respond to incidents within 30 minutes
