Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and optimize Linux/Windows server environments including virtualization (VMware) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and access controls
- Proactively troubleshoot network, hardware, and software issues while ensuring 99.9% system uptime
- Automate administrative tasks using scripting (Python/PowerShell) and configuration management tools (Ansible)
- Oversee backup/recovery processes and disaster recovery planning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT initiatives with business objectives
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in system administration with Linux/Windows environments
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Strong knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and automation tools
- Certifications (CompTIA Linux+, MCSA, or equivalent) strongly preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
