As a Weekend Shift Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining system uptime and driving feature releases during our peak operational windows. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our software delivers seamless user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy high-quality, scalable software features and applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices and coding standards.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues and software defects.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define requirements and deliver solutions.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Optimize application performance and ensure system reliability during peak usage.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in at least one primary programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript).
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
