Responsibilities
- Monitor & Troubleshoot: Proactively monitor system performance and resolve complex software issues or outages during the night shift.
- Deployment & Maintenance: Execute code deployments, database migrations, and security patches after hours to ensure business continuity.
- On-Call Support: Participate in on-call rotation for critical system alerts and emergency resolutions.
- Collaboration: Hand over detailed status reports to the day-shift team to ensure seamless operational transitions.
- Optimization: Analyze and optimize backend services for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for scripts, procedures, and architectural changes made during the shift.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Language: Proficiency in Java, Python, or C#.
- Databases: Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- OS: Experience with Linux/Unix environments and scripting (Bash/PowerShell).
- Availability: Must be willing to work rotating night shifts and handle high-pressure situations.
- Cloud: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is preferred.
