Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Java and Python
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure on AWS
- Debug and optimize complex systems during peak nighttime operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams via Agile methodologies
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews
- Document technical specifications and API endpoints
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in backend development
- Proficiency in Java, Python, and microservices architecture
- Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda)
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools
- Expertise in relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases
- Ability to thrive in night shift environment with self-discipline
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
