Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and Python
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for continuous deployment in AWS cloud environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during overlapping hours for seamless integration
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues in real-time
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers during night shift rotations
- Contribute to architectural decisions for next-gen fintech platforms
- Document technical specifications and maintain comprehensive codebase documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with Java/Python
- Proficiency in AWS services (EC2, Lambda, RDS) and containerization (Docker)
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
- Experience with Agile methodologies and Jira project management
- Ability to work independently during night shift with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
