Responsibilities
- Server Management: Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Windows and Linux servers within a hybrid cloud environment.
- Network Administration: Configure and manage network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, and switches to ensure optimal performance.
- Security Implementation: Enforce security protocols, conduct vulnerability assessments, and manage access controls (Active Directory) to protect sensitive data.
- Cloud Migration: Lead initiatives for migrating on-premise workloads to AWS or Azure, ensuring seamless transition and minimal downtime.
- Scripting & Automation: Develop Python or Bash scripts to automate routine tasks, improve efficiency, and reduce manual errors.
- Disaster Recovery: Design and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery plans to guarantee business continuity.
- Team Collaboration: Mentor junior administrators and collaborate with development teams to support application deployments.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience as a System Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Linux (RHEL/CentOS), Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and subnetting.
- Scripting: Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
