Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the administration and optimization of on-premise servers and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Security & Compliance: Implement robust security protocols, manage firewalls, and ensure compliance with industry standards (SOC2, HIPAA).
- Scripting & Automation: Develop Bash, Python, or PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks, reduce manual errors, and improve efficiency.
- System Monitoring: Utilize monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) to proactively detect issues, analyze system performance, and ensure 99.99% uptime.
- Disaster Recovery: Design and execute robust backup and disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical business data.
- Collaboration: Partner with the development team to support CI/CD pipelines and containerization strategies (Docker/Kubernetes).
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a System Administrator or DevOps Engineer.
- Operating Systems: Strong proficiency in Linux (RHEL, CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
- Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS or Azure.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, RHCE, or equivalent certifications are highly preferred.
- Scripting: Solid understanding of scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
