Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the administration, maintenance, and security of on-premise and cloud-based servers (Windows Server, Linux, and VMware).
- Cloud Integration: Manage and optimize cloud resources on AWS and Azure, ensuring seamless integration with legacy systems.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols, perform vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with internal and external standards (GDPR/PCI-DSS).
- Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance metrics, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement proactive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain Python and Bash scripts to automate routine administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Disaster Recovery: Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of system failures.
- Collaboration: Serve as a technical lead for junior administrators and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT infrastructure role.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Linux (RHEL/CentOS).
- Networking: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, networking concepts, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Scripting: Solid experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect is a plus.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on troubleshooting complex technical issues.
