Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Senior System Administrator to oversee the stability and security of our IT infrastructure in Boston, MA. In this role, you will bridge the gap between on-premise legacy systems and modern cloud solutions, ensuring our applications run smoothly and securely for thousands of users.

Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain server infrastructure across Linux and Windows environments.
- Manage and optimize cloud resources on AWS, including EC2, S3, and VPC configurations.
- Implement and enforce security protocols, including firewalls, encryption, and access controls.
- Automate deployment pipelines and system monitoring using scripting tools like PowerShell and Python.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex application performance issues.
- Conduct regular system audits, backups, and disaster recovery drills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in System Administration or Network Engineering.
- Expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, and PowerShell scripting.
- Strong working knowledge of Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu) and shell scripting.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization (Docker).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, AWS Solutions Architect, or VCP are highly preferred.
