Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain complex server environments, including Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server, ensuring 99.99% uptime.
- Implement and enforce robust network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Automate routine tasks and workflows using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell to improve operational efficiency.
- Lead cloud migration initiatives, specifically utilizing AWS or Azure to optimize resource allocation and cost management.
- Conduct regular system audits, performance tuning, and capacity planning to anticipate and resolve potential bottlenecks.
- Provide tier-3 technical support and mentorship to junior system administrators and junior developers.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans and execute regular backups.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT role.
- Strong proficiency in Linux administration and Windows Server management.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure.
- Valid CompTIA Security+ or higher certification is a plus.
