Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust Linux/Windows server environments across cloud and on-premise infrastructures
- Proactively monitor system health using tools like Nagios and Zabbix, ensuring 99.9% uptime
- Execute security protocols, vulnerability assessments, and compliance audits (SOC2/HIPAA)
- Automate deployment and configuration management using Ansible and Terraform
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline optimization and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Document infrastructure changes and maintain comprehensive system documentation
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex system incidents and outages
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing enterprise-level Linux/Windows Server environments
- Expertise in networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, load balancing)
- Strong scripting skills (Python/Bash) and infrastructure-as-code proficiency
- Cloud platform experience (AWS/Azure) with emphasis on EC2, S3, and VPC configurations
- Deep knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, and enterprise directory services
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V) and SAN technologies
- Certifications (CompTIA Linux+, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or equivalent)
- Ability to work flexible hours during maintenance windows and incident response
