Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex Windows/Linux server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Oversee cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure platforms, ensuring scalability and security
- Proactively monitor system health using tools like SolarWinds and Nagios to prevent outages
- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell/Python to streamline operations
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute regular testing protocols
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline optimization
- Mentor junior staff and document technical procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in enterprise system administration with hybrid cloud expertise
- Certifications in AWS/Azure and/or CompTIA Server+
- Advanced knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls)
- Experience with enterprise backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault)
- Strong scripting abilities (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with security-first mindset
