Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments across on-premises and cloud platforms
- Implement and monitor security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
- Oversee network infrastructure including switches, routers, and wireless access points
- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible for routine maintenance tasks
- Provide Level 3 technical support and lead incident response for critical system issues
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline optimization and container orchestration
- Document system configurations, processes, and disaster recovery procedures
- Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in system administration with Windows Server and Linux
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Strong knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
- Certifications in CompTIA Server+, Linux+, or Microsoft Azure Administrator preferred
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and implement solutions
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
