Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization environments (VMware), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Implement security protocols, patch management, and disaster recovery solutions
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource utilization
- Support network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, and VPN configurations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT projects and system upgrades
- Document IT processes, procedures, and infrastructure configurations
- Provide Level 2/3 user support and technical guidance to junior staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience in enterprise environments
- Expertise in Active Directory, PowerShell scripting, and server virtualization
- Strong understanding of network security principles and compliance standards
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and hybrid infrastructure models
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Valid California driver's license required for occasional on-site visits
