Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on enterprise networks
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts using Python or PowerShell
- Collaborate with incident response teams during security breaches and cyberattacks
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Implement security controls aligned with NIST and ISO 27001 frameworks
- Stay current on emerging threats through threat intelligence research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations center (SOC) environments
- CompTIA Security+ and CISSP or equivalent certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat hunting
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
